Another successful summer scheme ends

Following another successful summer scheme we would like to say a big thank you to all our carers and volunteers without whom none of our work would be possible. Our young people enjoyed a variety of activities including cooking, sailing, massage and days out to name a few. Thanks to all our supporters including the Williams Family Foundation, Alsager 1st Scouts, the Co-operative, Sandbach Round Table, Alsager Lions and many more.  We are already making plans for the coming year.

Summer scheme so far

5 days into the summer scheme and we thought you may like to take a look at what activities our young people have been up to. Keep checking back on the blog for further updates.

Summer Scheme now taking applications

We are now accepting applications for the 2017 summer scheme, forms are available on the Summer Scheme page.  Please complete the form and either scan and return to info@hanfa.org or send by post to the address on the form. Thanks to another generous donation from the Williams Family Foundation we have been able to further reduce the daily cost to parents/carers to £17.

Summer Scheme Planning

The HANFA team are currently busy planning our summer scheme timetable for 2017. Preparations include identifying and booking activities and venues, arranging transport, recruiting carers and volunteers and preparing training packages. We will be accepting applications for the summer scheme soon. In the meantime for more information please visit the summer scheme page or contact info@hanfa.org

The return of the youth club

The youth club will restart from May 5th 2017 on alternate weeks from 6.30-8.30pm.  It is essential that you let us know beforehand that your child will be attending and that a needs assessment form is competed.  Please see our youth club page for further details.

New website

Welcome to the new HANFA (Helping Additional Needs Families) website. HANFA is a registered charity established over 30 years ago to support children and their families in East Cheshire. Most notably HANFA is known for the summer scheme which runs every summer 4 days per week for 4 weeks during the school holidays. Plans are under way for the 2017 summer scheme but we really need support in the form of funding and volunteers. Please check back over the coming weeks for new content and information about the 2017 summer scheme.
